Metro Slider

Ever since my first trip to Disney World’s Tomorrow Land, at the age of 14, I have been fascinated with the design and art of the 1920s through the 1940s. I enjoy watching art deco movies like The Rocketeer and Metropolis simply for the style and look of the architect, fashion, and set design. Mixed with a little steam punk influence, I’d say this new slider represents my base nature when it comes to design.

With a smooth ergonomic feel, the Metro has grip in all the right places.  It’s thin enough to comfortably carry in your pocket while thick enough to feel like a robust slider.  The plates are buttery smooth with a 120 degree chamfer on top of a 90 degree chamfer going around the perimeter of the plates.  There are four hills with smooth contact in the corners allowing for the least amount of friction possible. The sliding plates and outer plates are connected from the outside with titanium screws (torx 8), ensuring the sliding plates have no place to trap fine debris or develop scratches due to loose screws.
